This wedding was so amazing - I probably say that about most but this one was just ahhhhh-mazing! Loved it - beautiful bride, handsome groom, awesome location and lots of love to go around. The wedding was held at the Flat Creek Lodge in Swainsboro, Georgia. The cake was brought in by the crazy talented Kerry O'Connor Cake Design from Savannah. Be sure to check out the slideshow! And in case you missed it - here is the link to Brycelyn & Jeremy's engagement session.
Soooooo beautiful! I'm such a lucky photographer!
how awesome is this cake?!?!!!
Shane & Shannon had a beautiful wedding in Panama City back in August. This time, I'll let the slideshow and pictures tell the story of their day :) Enjoy!
One of my favorite parts of the day was when Shane sang to Shannon!
The old adage goes, "It's good luck for a long and happy marriage, showered with love if it rains on your wedding day." Now, you can add Josh and Ashley to the list of long and happy marriages to be.
Immediately prior to the ceremony the sprinkles started as the wedding parties arrived. Fortunately, everyone was able to get in without too much rain damage. For nearly the entire ceremony, rain came down in sheets with the rumble of thunder nearby. The beautiful ceremony went off without a hitch in the safe haven of the majestic St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Built in 1940, St. Paul’s resides within the historic Riverside area of Jacksonville in the shadows of downtown. The Church exhibited the history and the beauty of the time…simply classic.
The rain ended as the couple said their “I do’s” and the skies promptly cleared for the receiving line. The post ceremony portraits were taken at Memorial Park in Riverside. The park nestled along the St. Johns Rivers is the scenic focal point of area and served as a gorgeous backdrop for the photos. With the wind blowing off the St. John’s, Ashley’s flowing veil made for some charming pictures. The radiant couple and their wedding parties withstood the increasingly hot, muggy and windy conditions allowing me to capture this special day.
After a quick break, the festivities moved a few blocks north, but still on the shores of the river, to the Garden Club. The reception was preceded by a cocktail hour in the garden and fountain area of the Club. This was a great time to kick back and meet everyone without all the activities associated with the reception itself.
The reception kicked off in a big way with the introduction of the wedding parties NBA style. Each party was introduced by name, height, school attended and hometowns. Josh and Ashley finished out the introductions running the line of couples with high-fives!
The reception was enjoyed by all with plenty of food and dancing to go around. The most touching moment of the reception was the toast by Ashley’s brother, Jamie. You couldn’t help but shed a tear in his emotional toast honoring his big sister.
One of the many things I love about photography is the ability to take people to other places. To capture moments and bring people to that place or evoke those emotions is special. Likewise, photography has blessed me to meet so many people and visit so many places.
One of those places was Shiloh Farms in Tallahassee. It was the site of Sarah and Jerod’s wedding and reception. Shiloh is host to a charming little chapel and an attached barn. Don’t be misled when I say barn just check out some of the pictures. What a setting for a country wedding. It was a barn burner!
I had the pleasure of capturing the beautiful wedding moments for Sarah and Jerod. To say they were high school sweethearts, well let’s say that couldn’t be any further from the truth. We all remember how it was in high school…the good and the bad. Well, let’s just say that Sarah and Jerod ran in different circles.
Luckily for them those circles became intersecting lines in college. It started as acquaintances, then friends and blossomed from there. It didn’t take long once they really started spending time together to realize they were meant for each other.
They were a glowing couple and happy but relieved to finally start the rest of their lives together. A wedding is always a great occasion to bring family and friends together to celebrate and have a great time. As the night came to a close, Sarah and Jerod made their grand exit on their way to Jamaica! I hope they enjoyed their honeymoon as much as I enjoyed being able to share their wedding moments with others.
The next one is courtesy of the best second shooter ever - my husband, Nelson! <3
The weather couldn't have been more beautiful. The flowers were blooming and the light was yummy. It was truly a Spring wedding. Kelly and Kimberly were married on March 13th at Dorothy B. Oven Park. It was a sweet ceremony and an entertaining reception...quite a few dancers in this group ;) I thought I'd share a few of my favorites and then for more of this gorgeous affair check out the slideshow!
Special thanks to DJ Kevin Creech from GT Entertainment for keeping the party going!
