I spent some time with Nate and him Mom this weekend. He was so cute - my lens was glued to him. We explored Oven Park and found all kinds of trails we hadn't seen before. I had so much fun, thanks guys!

Xehn

Yesterday was Xehn's 9th birthday! After all the emotional stuff we went through last week with Zoe, I just wanted to share some images of my sweet boy in honor of his birthday. Xehn and Zoe make me smile every day...I hope these images bring a smile to your face too. Happy Birthday Xehn-pin!

Zoe

Ok, so I'm a dog person and the dogs that made me this way are my min pins, Xehn and Zoe. Zoe is Xehn's daughter. She is 7 years old and my baby girl. This week has been a long one because Zoe had what our vet called "the worst case of pancreatitis she has ever seen." We are very lucky that things have taken such a positive turn. Zoe spent two nights at the emergency vet and three days with our regular vet. She was able to come home on Tuesday night but I was so worried still that I couldn't sleep. She is improving everyday and today we were given our next appointment for one month - which is really good considering this week was extremely emotional and expensive. I've been a wreck all week but today I could finally breath some relief when they took out the catheter from her leg and she got to come home to stay.

I was really looking forward to the new school year to start this past Monday but it seems like everything I was looking forward to was turned upside down. Xehn and Zoe are two of my children and I would do anything for them. I think we all have these experiences in our lives that remind us of what is important and remind us not to take anything for granted. It seems like the other stresses I had last week were nothing compared to what we survived this week. I'm really lucky to have two great dogs that love me as much as I love them.

I've decided to post some new and old images of Zoe today. Saturday is Xehn's birthday so I'll be posting some images of him this weekend.

Washington DC

After Martin graduated, we put him on a plane home and we were typical tourists in DC.

Martin

My brother Martin just survived the Marine Corps Officer Candidate School and graduated last Friday. I'm so proud of him. He is becoming quite a great man. Here are a few images from his graduation in Quantico, Virginia.
