Lanie's Prom

Lanie, my 16 year old and only girl went to Prom with Colin a few weeks ago. My friend Melissa helped polish Lanie's beauty by doing her hair & makeup which was gorgeous. My mom made their corsage, boutonniere and Lanie's jewelry. It was a family affair. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of Lanie's life. Enjoy the few images I grabbed before they rushed off to a night of dinner, dancing and swimming.

They went with quite a big group - here are all of the girls.

I love these next two...

Colin

A traditional one - a must have for all parents ;)

A few of the other lovely ladies...

Mama Sue's Crew

My friend Mandy, who you've seen before if you follow my blog for her engagement & wedding pictures, asked me to take some family portraits for her mom for Mother's Day. Her mom's name is Sue and since Mandy, her mom, her sister & brother don't have the same last name anymore, I decided to go with Mama Sue's Crew to make sure everyone was included ;) I love working with this family - always fun, loving and so supportive of each other and my photography. We met out at Maclay Gardens and got some nice family portraits which I understand will be decorating more than one of their stairwells ;) Here are a few of my favorites...

This is Mandy's sister and her beautiful family.

Mandy & Carlos a little more than a year after their wedding :)

And I just love this one because it goes to show how fun they are.

Haylee's Recital

Part of being Aunt B is getting to go to the cutest little dance recitals ever! A couple weeks ago - yes I am that far behind - all in one day - I went to Haylee's recital, did family portraits for Mama Sue's Crew, and got Lanie ready and off to prom. Here are a few cute one's from the recital :)

And I totally have lash envy...

Martin

This is a personal post and many of the wonderful pictures were taken by my favorite second shooter, my husband, Nelson. My brother, Martin was Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps a little over a week ago. He also graduated from Florida State with a degree in Criminology-like me ;) I don't want to write too much just that I'm so proud of him and when he leaves for The Basic School in Quantico at the end of this month, I will miss him terribly.

The ceremony was held at the Capitol.

Martin chose to have my Mom, sister and I participate by pinning him.

Here is one of my sister, Brook, my Mom, Martin and me.

That night, Martin graduated.

Then on Sunday, we went to FAMU's graduation ceremony because in college, Martin was in ROTC which is based at FAMU. Martin was repeated the Commissioning oath at the graduation. The keynote speaker was President Bill Clinton - which was awesome! He was inspirational.

Then we squeezed in some family pictures and a few portraits of 2nd Lieutenant Kuhnle.

And here is one for Mother's day, Martin & our Mom.

This week I met up with Martin, Kelli, & Melissa for a few graduation pictures...

Sisters :)

Melissa was really excited!

It was a marathon week but like I said, I couldn't be more proud.
